However, there will be a delay on the crowdfunding campaign re-launch while we exercise due diligence to sort out a potentially new funding offer.

Dave Gregory, here, on Monday, October 12th. You may have noticed that I’ve not been posting my CF Launch countdown graphics over the last several days. In this business, you always have to be flexible enough to roll with the punches and be prepared to juggle whatever comes up.

I’ve worked in Hollywood for several decades. And having been in and out of so many deals over those years, I’ve grown thick rhinoskin and become excessively scrutinous of any offer crossing my plate. Most of them, I dismiss with an eyeroll anymore.

This last Thursday, however, a new proposal for funding appeared from principals significantly legitimate to make me pause the CF launch for a bit. *If* the details can be worked out, it would mean more money for production and would make life easier for my team and I. We’ll begin examining it this week. But, for now, that’s all I can say publicly about it.

Rest assured though, that no matter what, the film will move forward as I’m well into preproduction. And if you’ve watched my CF campaign pitch video, you know that I’ve personally invested quite bit into the picture already and was running the campaign to augment what I’ve put in.

Delaying the CF launch makes sense for the moment. But should this take longer than a few weeks – especially with the American Film Market quickly coming up, followed by the Holidays – I *may* hold the re-launch until after the first of the year.

Naturally, nothing’s ever certain until it’s all in writing and signed. But whatever ultimately happens, I’ll post up-dates here and will be constantly moving the production forward.

While I never hold my breath over these things, this one appears to be worth considering.
